Description

Metasequoia 4 Standard Edition is a 3D modeling application for Windows and macOS that provides a full set of tools for creating and editing polygon-based 3D models. Its interface is designed for clarity and responsiveness, making modeling efficient on both platforms. The UV Edit feature has been improved with automatic unwrapping and options to split or stitch UVs, simplifying texture mapping. The software also supports OpenSubdiv, Pixar’s subdivision surface technology, allowing smoother meshes with minimal UV distortion and compatibility when exporting to FBX for use in other software. Path tracing rendering is included as a standard feature, offering physically based lighting with soft shadows by simulating light interactions between objects. Metasequoia supports importing and exporting a wide variety of file formats compatible with other 3D and CAD software, including SUF, DXF, LWO, 3DS, COB, ROK, OBJ, PMD, glTF, and VRM. This ensures smooth interoperability while maintaining coordinate and surface direction consistency.
