Chisako Fukada, a 38-year-old widow, has spent the past few years raising her son alone after the tragic death of her husband. Despite his rebellious attitude and wild behavior, Chisako always tries to understand and care for him. But one day, after a heated argument, her son suddenly runs away from home — and disappears without a trace. Two years later, he returns, completely changed.
