Every turn gives you limited political capital and too many problems to solve. Raise taxes or cut spending. Fund healthcare, defence, policing, welfare, education or infrastructure. Respond to crises before they spiral out of control. Keep the public on side, hold your party together, and watch for the warning signs of unrest, collapse or coup. Rule through crisis As leader, you will face a constantly shifting political landscape. Voters have expectations, budgets have limits, and every decision creates consequences. A popular policy may damage the economy. A tough security response may restore order but hurt legitimacy. Ignoring a crisis may save resources now but create a much bigger problem later.
